Lars-Peter Clausen f78d29f166 mfd: Remove redundant spi driver bus initialization
In ancient times it was necessary to manually initialize the bus field of an
spi_driver to spi_bus_type. These days this is done in spi_driver_register(),
so we can drop the manual assignment.

The patch was generated using the following coccinelle semantic patch:
// <smpl>

identifier _driver;

struct spi_driver _driver = {

Jett.Zhou 5bdf7411bc mfd: Fix 88pm860x test bank i2c interface bug
There are two banks in 88pm8607. One is the normal bank, and the other
one is the test bank, it means it have the same register address in the
normal bank and test bank seperately.
For test bank register, it needs a special I2C sequence to acess as below,
    Touching to 0xFA address
    Touching to 0xFB address
    Touching to 0xFF address
    Accessing bank register
    Touching to 0xFE address
    Touching to 0xFC address
This sequence can't be interrupted. It means that we can't use
i2c_transfef() to implement touching 0xFA address. Otherwise, other i2c
operation may be inserted into 0xFA and 0xFB operation since the lock of
i2c_adapter is already released.
So for test bank we implemented specific i2c read/write operation;

NeilBrown c1e61bcf82 mfd: Use request_threaded_irq for twl4030-irq instead of irq_set_chained_handler
irq_set_chained_handler sets 'desc->handle_irq'.
However this irq is called by handle_nested_irq from handle_twl4030_pih,
and that uses action->thread_fn.

So the handled set with irq_set_chained_handler is never called.

So change to use request_threaded_irq instead - that sets the correct field.

Describe the register map to the regmap core so that we can use its

using it due to the size so that the actual code change is a bit clearer.

As the various devices are supersets of each other the access maps are
built up by layering the functions on top of each other, though the
interface for specifying the register defaults isn't currently amenable

Tejun Heo 3a7cbd50f7 freezer: don't unnecessarily set PF_NOFREEZE explicitly
Some drivers set PF_NOFREEZE in their kthread functions which is
completely unnecessary and racy - some part of freezer code doesn't

Todd Poynor 782baa20b2 mfd: Disable twl6030 IRQ during suspend
Module IRQs may still be disabled by DPM at the time the TWL6030

Todd Poynor ab2b9260df mfd: Fix twl6030 lockdep recursion warning on setting wake IRQs
LOCKDEP explicitly sets all irq_desc locks as a single lock-class,
causing "possible recursive locking detected" when the TWL RTC
driver calls through enable_irq_wake to twl6030_irq_set_wake,
which recursively calls irq_set_irq_wake. Although the
irq_desc and lock are different, LOCKDEP treats these as
equivalent, presumably due to problems that can be incurred
when locking more than one irq_desc, so best to avoid this.

We currently have two symbols to control compilation the MFD subsystem,

Mark Brown 78bb3688ea mfd: Support multiple active WM831x AUXADC conversions
The WM831x AUXADC hardware can schedule multiple conversions at once,
allowing higher performance when more than one source is in use as we
can have the hardware start new conversions without having to wait for

Take advantage of this in the interrupt driven case, maintaining a list of
callers that are waiting for AUXADC conversions and completing them all
simultaneously. The external interface of the AUXADC is not changed so
there will be limited use of the feature immediately.

This sleep should not be required on normal circuitry provided the
