Errors from SIGA instructions are stored in the per queue qdio_error
and reported back when the queue handler is called. That opens a race
when multiple error conditions occur simultanously.
Report SIGA errors immediately in the return value of do_QDIO so the
upper layer can react and SIGA errors no longer interfere with other
errors.
Move the SIGA error handling in qeth from the outbound handler to
qeth_flush_buffers.

wait_event_timeout just takes the numnber of jiffies to wait as
an argument. That value does not include jiffies itself.

Performance measurements showed EDDP does not lower CPU costs but increase

The ip assist hw command for setting an IP address last unacceptable
long so we can not spin while we waiting for the irq. Since we can
ensure process context for all occurrences of this command we can use
wait.

For z/VM GuestLAN or VSWITCH devices the transport layer is
configured in z/VM. The layer2 attribute of a participating Linux
device has to match the z/VM definition. In case of a mismatch
Linux currently crashes in qeth recovery due to a reference to the
not yet existing net_device.
Solution: add a check for existence of net_device and add a message
pointing to the mismatch of layer definitions in Linux and z/VM.

OSA-devices operating in layer3 mode offer adding of the source MAC
address to the QDIO header of inbound packets. The qeth driver can
exploit this functionality to replace FAKELL-entries in the ethernet
header of received packets.

Add a new proc interface /proc/service_levels that allows any code
to report a relevant service level, e.g. the microcode level of
devices, the service level of the hypervisor, etc.

qeth needs to get the port count information before
qdio has allocated a page for the chsc operation.
Extend qdio_get_ssqd_desc() to store the data in the
specified structure.

Do not touch IFF_UP flag during qeth recovery, but invoke dev_close()
in case of failing recovery.
Cancel outstanding control commands in case of Data Checks or
Channel Checks.
Do not invoke qeth_l2_del_all_mc() in case of a hard stop to speed up
removal of qeth devices.

For hiper socket devices this patch will economize the reallocation
of the tx skb data segment by allocating separate memory for the qdio

Load balancing bonding queries the speed of the slave interfaces.
To support a bond consisting of different slave speeds we have to

Instead of having each driver for ccwgroup slave device parsing the
input itself and calling ccwgroup_create(), introduce a new function
ccwgroup_create_from_string() and handle parsing inside the ccwgroup
core.

Allocate headroom for TR_HLEN but using only ETH_HLEN causes rx
performance degradation. Allocate ETH_HLEN for ethernet and
TR_HLEN for token ring (layer 3 mode).

Problem: A STARTLAN command from the adapter may arrive while a
qeth recovery is currently running with a failed qeth
STARTLAN. Usually qeth schedules a recovery when
receiving a STARTLAN command from the adapter. But
another recovery scheduled while a recovery is already
running never starts. Thus the qeth-administered
lan_online flag remains zero in this scenario, even
though the adapter-STARTLAN has happened.
Solution: Set lan_online flag for a received STARTLAN from the
adapter in case scheduled recovery does not start.

OSA-adapters do not have an address limitation for the qdio queue
structures except the MAX storage level of the current processor.
And due to a recent z/VM APAR there is no longer a restriction to
allocate qdio structures below 2 GB.
