Devendra Naga 7106319921 staging/rts_pstor: use kthread_run instead doing kthread_create and wake_up_process
with kthread_create we need to call wake_up_process to run the thread,
this can be done using the macro kthread_run, which creates and if thread
creation is succeeded starts the thread by calling wake_up_process,

and also there are two more threads in the rts_pstor, which calls
kthread_run instead calling kthread_create and another call to the
wake_up_process, so with this change the creation of rtsx_scan_thread
will be in consistency with the other control and poll threads.

Dan Carpenter 3fd654c22c Staging: rts_pstor: off by one in for loop
I already fixed the other similar for loop in this file. I'm not sure
how I missed this one. We use seg_no+1 inside the loop so we can't go
right up to the end of the loop.

Also if we don't break out of the loop then we end up past the end of
the array, but with this fix we end up on the last element.

Tejun Heo 3a7cbd50f7 freezer: don't unnecessarily set PF_NOFREEZE explicitly
Some drivers set PF_NOFREEZE in their kthread functions which is
completely unnecessary and racy - some part of freezer code doesn't
consider cases where PF_NOFREEZE is set asynchronous to freezer
operations.

In general, there's no reason to allow setting PF_NOFREEZE explicitly.
Remove them and change the documentation to note that setting
PF_NOFREEZE directly isn't allowed.

-v2: Dropped change to twl4030-irq.c as it no longer uses PF_NOFREEZE.

Arnaud Lacombe 6efa04ebab drivers/staging: do not use EXTRA_CFLAGS
Usage of these flags has been deprecated for nearly 4 years by:

    commit f77bf01425
    Author: Sam Ravnborg <sam@neptun.(none)>
    Date: Mon Oct 15 22:25:06 2007 +0200

        kbuild: introduce ccflags-y, asflags-y and ldflags-y

Moreover, these flags (at least EXTRA_CFLAGS) have been documented for command
line use. By default, gmake(1) do not override command line setting, so this is
likely to result in build failure or unexpected behavior.

Replace their usage by Kbuild's `{as,cc,ld}flags-y'.

wwang f704648281 staging:rts_pstor: fix thread synchronization flow
Using different completion variables to synchronize different kernel threads

This patch fix a bug that may cause memory leak when driver
disconnected. This is not a very urgent bug. Because with the default
setting, driver disconnectting routine won't be called except when Linux
is shut down. But if the option auto_delink_en is set, a small number of
memory would leak out after memory card unplugged.
