Unfortunately, one cannot hold on to the struct firmware
that request_firmware_nowait() hands off, which is needed
in some cases. Allow this by requiring the callback to
free it (via release_firmware).
Additionally, give it a gfp_t parameter -- all the current
users call it from a GFP_KERNEL context so the GFP_ATOMIC
isn't necessary. This also marks an API break which is
useful in a sense, although that is obviously not the
primary purpose of this change.

This adds a drm/kms staging non-API stable driver for GPUs from NVIDIA.
This driver is a KMS-based driver and requires a compatible nouveau
userspace libdrm and nouveau X.org driver.
This driver requires firmware files not available in this kernel tree,
interested parties can find them via the nouveau project git archive.
This driver is reverse engineered, and is in no way supported by nVidia.
Support for nearly the complete range of nvidia hw from nv04->g80 (nv50)
is available, and the kms driver should support driving nearly all
output types (displayport is under development still) along with supporting
suspend/resume.
This work is all from the upstream nouveau project found at

The s2250-board i2c module was converted to use v4l2-i2c-drv.h in
preparation for its subdev conversion. This change prevented the
s2250-loader from being initialized within the same module due to
the module_init and module_exit function definitions in v4l2-i2c-drv.h.
Therefore, s2250-loader is now its own module, and the header for
exporting s2250-loader functions is no longer needed.
The s2250 i2c module name was "2220-board" in some places, and was
changed to "s2250".

This adds a struct v4l2_device to the go7007 device struct and registers
it during v4l2 initialization. The v4l2_device registration overwrites
the go->dev device_data, which is a struct usb_interface with intfdata set
to the struct go7007. This changes intfdata to point to the struct
v4l2_device inside struct go7007, which is what v4l2_device_register will
also set it to (and warn about non-null drvdata on register.) Since usb
disconnect can happen any time, this intfdata should always be present.

Most of the irq_req_t typedef'd struct can be re-worked quite
easily:
(1) IRQInfo2 was unused in any case, so drop it.
(2) IRQInfo1 was used write-only, so drop it.
(3) Instance (private data to be passed to the IRQ handler):
Most PCMCIA drivers using pcmcia_request_irq() to actually
register an IRQ handler set the "dev_id" to the same pointer
as the "priv" pointer in struct pcmcia_device. Modify the two
exceptions (ipwireless, ibmtr_cs) to also work this waym and
set the IRQ handler's "dev_id" to p_dev->priv unconditionally.
(4) Handler is to be of type irq_handler_t.
(5) Handler != NULL already tells whether an IRQ handler is present.
Therefore, we do not need the IRQ_HANDLER_PRESENT flag in
irq_req_t.Attributes.

1. The memory into which we copy 'u1@u2' needs space for u1, @,
u2, and a final \0 which strcat copies in.
2. Strsep changes the value of its first argument. So use a
temporary variable to pass to it, so we pass the original
value to kfree!
3. Allocate an extra char to user_buf, because we need a trailing \0
since we later kstrdup it.
I am about to send out an LTP testcase for this driver, but
in addition the correctness of the hashing can be verified as
follows:
#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <unistd.h>
int main(int argc, char *argv[])
{
char in[41], out[20];
unsigned int v;
int i, ret;
ret = read(STDIN_FILENO, in, 40);
if (ret != 40)
exit(1);
in[40] = '\0';
for (i = 0; i < 20; i++) {
sscanf(&in[2*i], "%02x", &v);
out[i] = v;
}
write(STDOUT_FILENO, out, 20);
}
as root, to test userid 501 switching to uid 0, choosing
'random' string 'ab':
echo -n "501@0" > plain
openssl sha1 -hmac 'ab' plain |awk '{ print $2 '} > dgst
./unhex < dgst > dgst.u
mknod /dev/caphash 504 0
mknod /dev/capuse 504 1
chmod ugo+w /dev/capuse

prepare_discard_fn() was being called in a place where memory allocation
was effectively impossible. This makes it inappropriate for all but
the most trivial translations of Linux's DISCARD operation to the block
command set. Additionally adding a payload there makes the ownership
of the bio backing unclear as it's now allocated by the device driver
and not the submitter as usual.
It is replaced with QUEUE_FLAG_DISCARD which is used to indicate whether
the queue supports discard operations or not. blkdev_issue_discard now
allocates a one-page, sector-length payload which is the right thing
for the common ATA and SCSI implementations.
The mtd implementation of prepare_discard_fn() is replaced with simply
checking for the request being a discard.
Largely based on a previous patch from Matthew Wilcox <matthew@wil.cx>
which did the prepare_discard_fn but not the different payload allocation
yet.

If we reach the test just below the loop with a `timeout' value of 0,
this does not mean that the timeout caused the loop to end, but rather
the `smi_rd.s.pending', in the last iteration. If timeout caused the
loop to end, then `timeout' is -1, not 0.
Since this can occur only in the last iteration, it is not very likely
to be a problem. By changing the post- to prefix decrement we ensure
that a timeout of 0 does mean it timed out.

Both drivers (rt2860 and rt3090) register themselves as "rt2860" on
loading the module.
In the very rare case of somebody having two cards in his machine, one
using rt3090 and the other one using the rt2860 driver, loading both
modules would be impossible, the second one will not be loaded as the
kernel will tell you that the driver is already registered.
This was also present with rt2870/rt3070 (with both driver registering
as "rt2870"), but the code has been merged to one driver recently.

There has been some block api changes since the last
release of the cowloop code. This patch updates the code to
properly build.

Cowloop is a "copy-on-write" pseudo block driver. It can
be stacked on top of a "real" block driver, and catches
all write operations on their way from the file systems
layer above to the real driver below, effectively shielding
the lower driver from those write accesses. The requests are
then diverted to an ordinary file, located somewhere else
(configurable). Later read requests are checked to see whether
they can be serviced by the "real" block driver below, or
must be pulled in from the diverted location. More information
is on the project's website http://www.ATComputing.nl/cowloop/

We need to actually wait a specific ammount of time, not just hope that
a set number of loops will be long enough.
Based on a conversation with Ralink, and a proposed patch for their
older kernel driver.

This should be a fix for the lockup bug when attaching to an access
point.
Patch came from a diff from RealTek. Hopefully it resolves the issue.

The built-in firmware images are never used, the firmware files
are downloaded to the device through the standard firmware interface.
This removes the firmware header file as it's not ever used.
It also removes a .h file as it is not needed.

This wireless driver should work for the Realtek 8192 PCI devices.
It comes directly from Realtek and has been tested to work on at least
one laptop in the wild.

On TI DA850/OMAP-L138 EVM, HD44780 (24x2) LCD panel is being
used[1], but it is interfaced through the SoC specific LCD
interface and not through parallel port. A parallel port
driver has been developed which interfaces to the panel driver
through the SoC specific LCD interface.
Basically, both the serial and parallel interfaces supported
by the panel driver do not suit the specific interface SoC is
supporting so, a new interface type has been introduced.
Ideally the panel driver should be de-coupled from parallel
and serial port related items but this patch is something
that can be merged in the meantime.
