9bc747bea5 arm-soc: First batch of cleanups
These cleanups are basically all over the place. The idea is to collect
changes with minimal impact but large number of changes so we can avoid
them from distracting in the diffstat in the other series.

A significant number of lines get removed here, in particular because
the ixp2000 and ixp23xx platforms get removed. These have never been
extremely popular and have fallen into disuse over time with no active
maintainer taking care of them. The u5500 soc never made it into a
product, so we are removing it from the ux500 platform.

Many good cleanups also went into the at91 and omap platforms, as has
been the case for a number of releases.

d28f1db818 mfd: Remove confusing ab8500-i2c file and merge into ab8500-core
ab8500-i2c is used as core code to register the ab8500 device.
After allocating ab8500 memory, it immediately calls into
ab8500-core where the real initialisation takes place. This
patch moves all core registration and memory allocation into
the true ab8500-core file and removes ab8500-i2c completely.

e98ea774c8 pinctrl/nomadik: basic Nomadik pinctrl interface
This adds a scratch pin control interface to the Nomadik pinctrl
driver, and defines the pins and groups in the DB8500 ASIC. We
define GPIO ranges to cover the pins exposed. The DB8500 has
more pins than this but we restrict the driver to the pins that
can be controlled from the combined GPIO and pin control hardware
to begin with.

ChangeLog v1->v2:
- Base on the latest pinctrl development from
pinctrl-mergebase-20120418 so we can get rid of legacy
group count mechanism. Also drop the range checks for group
index, this is handled by the core now.

3ebabaa534 ARM: ux500: add the cpuidle driver for WFI and ARM retention
This patch adds the cpuidle driver for the ux500 SoC.
The boards saves 12mA with these states. It is based on the latest
cpuidle consolidation from Robert Lee.

The cpu can go to retention only if the other core is in WFI.

If the other cpu is in WFI and we decoupled the gic from the cores,
then we have the guarantee, it won't be wake up.

It is up to the prcmu firmware to recouple the gic automatically
after the power state mode is selected.

29746f48d1 ARM: ux500: delete U5500 support
This platform has been obsoleted and was only available inside of
ST-Ericsson, no users of this code are left in the world. This
deletes the core U5500 support entirely in the same manner as the
obsoleted U8500 silicon was previously deleted.

The cpu_is_u5500() macros that can read out the CPU ID is left
until the next kernel cycle, this makes it possible to merge
deletion of dependent drivers without breakage.

This also has the upside of removing the mailbox driver which was
our only driver that was outside the drivers/* hiearchy, now the
machine directory only handles machines and nothing else.

68293b3ad2 ARM: ux500: remove a bunch of internal pull-ups
The default configuration for a number of I2C and keypad pins was
to pull-up. However on most reference designs the electronics
already contain external pull-ups which means the internal
pull-ups will lower the common resistance and increase power
consumption on these lines, and in some reference designs the
keypad inputs are not used so this will just cause problems. So
remove these pull-ups and add them on demand instead if needed.

c8bc5e39ac ARM: Non-critical bug fixes
Simple bug fixes that were not considered important enough for inclusion
into 3.3. One bug fix was originally intended for 3.3 but accidentally
got missed, but is not marked stable because it should only get
backported once later fixes also make it into v3.4.

ed2d265d12 The following text was taken from the original review request:
"[RFC - PATCH 0/7] consolidation of BUG support code."
 		https://lkml.org/lkml/2012/1/26/525
 --

The changes shown here are to unify linux's BUG support under
the one <linux/bug.h> file. Due to historical reasons, we have
some BUG code in bug.h and some in kernel.h -- i.e. the support for
BUILD_BUG in linux/kernel.h predates the addition of linux/bug.h,
but old code in kernel.h wasn't moved to bug.h at that time. As
a band-aid, kernel.h was including <asm/bug.h> to pseudo link them.

This has caused confusion[1] and general yuck/WTF[2] reactions.
Here is an example that violates the principle of least surprise:

       CC lib/string.o
       lib/string.c: In function 'strlcat':
lib/string.c:225:2: error: implicit declaration of function 'BUILD_BUG_ON'
       make[2]: *** [lib/string.o] Error 1
       $
       $ grep linux/bug.h lib/string.c
       #include <linux/bug.h>
       $

We've included <linux/bug.h> for the BUG infrastructure and yet we
still get a compile fail! [We've not kernel.h for BUILD_BUG_ON.]
Ugh - very confusing for someone who is new to kernel development.

With the above in mind, the goals of this changeset are:

 1) find and fix any include/*.h files that were relying on the
    implicit presence of BUG code.
 2) find and fix any C files that were consuming kernel.h and
hence relying on implicitly getting some/all BUG code.
 3) Move the BUG related code living in kernel.h to <linux/bug.h>
 4) remove the asm/bug.h from kernel.h to finally break the chain.

During development, the order was more like 3-4, build-test, 1-2.
But to ensure that git history for bisect doesn't get needless
build failures introduced, the commits have been reorderd to fix
 the problem areas in advance.

"This one covers stuff which Arnd is waiting for me to push, as this is

  Essentially, this contains:
   - AMBA primecell device initializer updates - mostly shrinking the

     reasonable.
   - Getting rid of the NO_IRQ crap from AMBA primecell stuff.

This adds all devices that are normally present through the
u8500_init_machine function in the device tree as well, which
will duplicate the devices that are visible.

This will not do much by itself because the device from the
device tree are not matched by any device driver until they
are converted as well. The next step is to move over one
device at a time to actually be used from the device tree
instead of the hardcoded device using auxdata to pass the
correct platform_data.

First rename the config option MACH_U8500 to MACH_MOP500
because that is what it's obviously all about, this has
confused me for the last time. Fix some whitespace in the

Since the machine descriptors for HREFv60 and snowball
are clearly in the file board-mop500.c which only
compiles if MACH_MOP500 (former MACH_U8500) is set,
select this for the board variants and nothing else.

For the MOP500 variants the UIB (user interface board)
is probed using I2C so select I2C and I2C_NOMADIK so
we know that this probe will always be successful.

eb50439b92 ARM: 7293/1: logical_cpu_map: decouple CPU mapping from SMP
It turns out that the logical CPU mapping is useful even when !CONFIG_SMP
for manipulation of devices like interrupt and power controllers when
running a UP kernel on a CPU other than 0. This can happen when kexecing
a UP image from an SMP kernel.

In the future, multi-cluster systems running AMP configurations will
require something similar for mapping cluster IDs, so it makes sense to
decouple this logic in preparation for this support.

bc521818e2 ARM: 7219/1: mmc: mmci: Change vdd_handler to a generic ios_handler
The purpose of the vdd_handler does not make sense. We remove it
and use a generic approach instead. A new ios_handler is added, the
purpose of which e.g. can be to control GPIO pins to a levelshifter.

Previously the vdd_handler was also used for making additional
changes to the power register bits. This option is superfluous and is
therefore removed.

Adaptaptions from the old vdd_handler to the new ios_handler is done for

ee66e653ca mfd: Unify abx500 headers in mfd/abx500
This moves all the header files related to the abx500 family into
a common include directory below mfd. From now on we place any
subchip header in that directory. Headers previously in e.g.
<linux/mfd/ab8500/gpio.h> get prefixed and are now e.g.
<linux/mfd/abx500/ab8500-gpio.h>. The top-level abstract interface
remains in <linux/mfd/abx500.h>.

f88b8979d2 ARM: restart: remove the now empty arch_reset()
Remove the now empty arch_reset() from all the mach/system.h includes,
and remove its callsite. Remove arm_machine_restart() as this function
no longer does anything useful.

For samsung platforms, remove the include of mach/system-reset.h and
plat/system-reset.h from their respective mach/system.h headers as these
just define their arch_reset functions. As a result, the s3c2410 and
plat-samsung system-reset.h files are no longer referenced, so remove
these files entirely.

1095843489 ARM: ux500: fix the smp_twd clock calculation
The clock for the smp_twd block is not equal to the CPU
frequency, actually it is divided by two, so fix this,

the most common case.

c15def1cc3 ARM: ux500: remove support for early silicon revisions
The DB8500 ED (Early Drop) and V1 are only available inside of
ST-Ericsson or partners, we have actively replaced and scrapped
these prototypes. All Nova products on the open market (such as
the Snowball board) are based on V2 and later ASIC variants.
So let us focus on supporting the silicon that will be used and
delete this to get a clear overview.

73180f85f4 mfd: Move to the new db500 PRCMU API
Now that we have a shared API between the DB8500 and DB5500
PRCMU's, switch to using this neutral API instead. We delete the
parts of db8500-prcmu.h that is now PRCMU-neutral, and calls will
be diverted to respective driver. Common registers are in
dbx500-prcmu-regs.h and common accessors and defines in
<linux/mfd/dbx500-prcmu.h> This way we get a a lot more
abstraction and code reuse.

a06f916b7a ARM: smp: fix clipping of number of CPUs
Rather than clipping the number of CPUs using the compile-time NR_CPUS
constant, use the runtime nr_cpu_ids value instead. This allows the
nr_cpus command line option to work as expected.

28763487b1 ARM: ux500: convert logical CPU numbers to physical numbers
This patch uses the new cpu_logical_map() macro for converting logical
CPU numbers into physical numbers when dealing with the pen_release
variable in the SMP boot and CPU hotplug paths.

40c6d8aee4 ARM: 7022/1: allow to detect conflicting zreladdrs
Boards used to specify zreladdr in their Makefile.boot with
zreladdr-y := x, so conflicting zreladdrs were silently overwritten.
This patch changes this to zreladdr-y += x, so that we end
up with multiple words in zreladdr in such a case. We can
detect this later and complain if necessary.
